R/GA to helm Ameriprise advertising

Interpublic's R/GA has been selected to take the lead on traditional and digital advertising for Ameriprise, which boosted its ad spending from $2 million last year to $8 million through the first nine months of 2009. Interpublic-owned Initiative will handle buying and planning of traditional media on the account.
