Study touts benefits of imaging agent regadenoson

A study of patients with end-stage renal disease found that regadenoson, a vasodilator stress myocardial perfusion imaging agent, is safe and tolerable and is comparable to adenosine. "Unlike adenosine, it can be safely employed in patients with moderate airway disease or asthma," the lead investigator said.
