Yahoo! integrates Facebook; Google opts for Twitter

Yahoo! announced Wednesday that it would integrate Facebook logins with its e-mail and news services. The deal makes it easier for users to share data on Facebook and the search site simultaneously. Google followed this up by saying that it would integrate more features with Twitter, such as allowing Twitter accounts to be used in place of Google Friend Connect logins. Joseph Tartakoff calls the dueling announcements "a war among the Web identity giants, perhaps?"
