Air Canada chief relishes progress while looking to the future

Air Canada's CEO says the airline is making progress on its cost control program, labor relations and route network, despite stiff competition and a heavy tax burden. As evidence of the company's turnaround, Calin Rovinescu, who has led the company since March 2009, points to a $326 million third-quarter operating profit, higher than many analysts had expected.
