Anemic jobs growth falls short of high expectations

The nation's job market showed anemic growth in November, far below the expectations of Wall Street analysts. The Labor Department reported nonfarm payrolls increased 39,000 last month, below an expected 155,000 gain. The construction sector shed another 5,000 jobs. The unemployment rate increased to 9.8%.
