Bayer CEO: U.S. students must catch up in STEM fields

The U.S. must promote science, technology, engineering and math among students because those fields "play a crucial role" in reinvigorating the country's manufacturing base and the economy, said Bayer President and CEO Greg Babe. In the chemical industry, Babe added, major chemical plants costing $1 billion or more are built mostly in other countries.
