Developer retrofits warehouse for wind turbine maker

Gerding Edlen Development plans to rehabilitate an old warehouse in Portland, Ore., into a $66 million headquarters for wind turbine-maker Vestas Wind Systems. The reconstruction is expected to create 400 building jobs. Green retrofits have become big business as the recession keeps the construction market tight.
