Zero-emission center built with low-carbon concrete

The Convention Centre Dublin, the world's first zero-emission convention center, features more than 6,600 tons of low-carbon concrete that releases 25% less carbon emissions during the construction process and 16 times less during manufacturing than traditional concrete. The facility in Ireland's capital, which also meets ISO 14001 standards, has systems geared to reduce energy consumption such as a thermal wheel heat-recovery system and Ice Storage Thermal Unit.
