Asparagus boosts insulin, controls blood sugar in study

Regular consumption of asparagus could help control diabetes, according to research at the University of Karachi in Pakistan. In animal studies, high levels of asparagus extract had a significant impact on insulin production by the pancreas and suppressed blood sugar levels. The research was published in the British Journal of Nutrition.
