Bridge problem leads train to derail, spill toxins in N.J.

A freight train derailed Friday on a railroad swing bridge in New Jersey that reportedly had signal problems. Vinyl chloride spilled and needs to be cleaned up before the National Transportation Safety Board can investigate. Authorities haven't found out yet whether the bridge collapsed or shifted. The NTSB will focus on the bridge's locking mechanism and signal devices. The bridge was inspected last month.
