Metformin may boost survival in ovarian cancer patients with diabetes

Data on 239 ovarian cancer patients showed 67% of metformin-treated patients with comorbid diabetes did not die of cancer at five years, compared with 47% of nonusers without diabetes. The findings were published in the journal Cancer.
