Say goodbye to rear-projection TVs as Mitsubishi cuts production

Mitsubishi Electrical Visual Solutions America has notified service centers that it has stopped manufacturing DLP-based projection television sets, CE Pro reports. Mitsubishi Electric was the last manufacturer of big-screen rear-projection TVs, it notes. "We are in the midst of an orderly exit from the DLP TV business. MEVSA will now focus on B-to-B (projectors, display wall, printers, digital signage, monitors, etc.) and the home theater projector business," said Mitsubishi's Max Wasinger.
