Biden talks trade in Japan

Vice President Joe Biden was in Japan on Monday as part of a trip that will be closely watched as the U.S. seeks to secure a trade deal with its Pacific neighbors and to provide a counterbalance to China's regional influence. Jun Okumura of the Meiji Institute for Global Affairs says, "America's muscular approach to China adds meat to its Asian pivot. ... The more resolute the U.S. behaves on issues with China, the more it will be positive" for a regional trade deal.
