EnteroMedics' obesity tool shows positive results in study

EnteroMedics said its Maestro RC device, which is used to treat patients with obesity by releasing electrical pulses to stimulate the vagus nerve, demonstrated positive results in a clinical study. The study found that participating patients shed 25% of their excess weight, or 10% of their total body weight, 18 months after receiving the device.
