Holistic plastic surgeons add acupuncture, massage therapy to treatments

Some plastic surgeons have begun offering acupuncture, homeopathy, manual lymphatic drainage massage and other unconventional procedures to help patients heal after plastic surgery and improve their quality of life. "Some patients just want the procedure and then to get on with their day, while for others, the treatment may be much more significant or impactful and require a more comprehensive approach," plastic surgeon David Shafer said.
