Retailers place strategic focus on private labels

U.S. retailers are approaching private labels more strategically than ever before, and the sector contains significant opportunity for growth, Trailblazer Foods President and CEO Rob Miller says. Private labels' share of dollar sales increased to 14.6% in the year that ended July 14, and retailers could double that if they focus on the store perimeter, Miller says.
