Supreme Court hears tribal casino case

The U.S. Supreme Court is hearing a sovereignty case between the state of Michigan and a tribal casino. The state sued to shut down a Bay Mills Indian Community casino in Vanderbilt, Mich. The tribe had purchased land for the casino in 2010, but the casino was not located within the boundaries of their reservation. Seventeen states have filed legal briefs supporting Michigan.
