Four Boston-area school districts have plans to build environmentally-friendly school buildings using such renewable energy sources as solar or wind. The $49.2 million Whitman-Hanson Regional School will offer ventilation and lighting systems that automatically adjust themselves to the number of people in the room or the amount of available daylight.
