Hotels go green for savings, sustainability

Hotels increasingly are taking ecofriendly measures to reduce toxic hazards and save on energy bills -- and get some good PR while they're at it. San Francisco's Orchard Garden Hotel, which has been designated as LEED-compliant by the U.S. Green Building Council, for example, is expected to save from 10% to 20% on electricity costs, simply by using a cardkey system that cuts power to a room when a guest exits it.
