Ovation hires vet of arts cable to oversee programming

Arts-and-culture network Ovation has named Kris Slava, a veteran of Trio and Bravo, as senior vice president of programming and production. The move comes as Ovation, which has only 5.3 million subscribers, plans a relaunch with a fresh influx of cash from investors including Hubbard Media Group and Weinstein Co.
