Stalemate over Boy Scouts' policy continues in Philly

The Boy Scouts of America's Cradle of Liberty Council has taken no action to respond to a Dec. 3 deadline set by the city of Philadelphia for the group to renounce its anti-gay policy and keep its free rent on its headquarters' city-owned land; retain the policy and agree to pay about $200,000 a year in rent; or vacate the premises. The chapter instead will wait until January, when Mayor-elect Michael Nutter will take office, to respond.
