Helicopter parents are keeping kids earthbound

Middle-class parents may be teaching their kids how not to be entrepreneurs. Steven Horwitz, an economics professor at St. Lawrence University, says over-involved parents are cheating their children out of the character traits they need to be successful business owners. "These are parents who are so involved in their kids' lives that they don't allow them to fail or develop resilience or perseverance skills," he warns.
