Comcast-NBCU alliance raises questions about future of Web video

Comcast's bid to acquire a major interest in NBC Universal is expected to add impetus to the possibility that Hulu, the online video site jointly operated by NBC, News Corp. and Disney, will begin to charge for content. Todd Tagres of Spark Capital said, "Hollywood needs a toll collector. ... Comcast can play the part because online video will erode traditional cable."
