First trans-Atlantic split on derivatives reform emerges

The European Association of Corporate Treasurers said the U.S. is unwilling to ease up on proposed changes to the over-the-counter derivatives market. The comment raises the possibility that the U.S. and Europe will go separate ways in overhauling the opaque market, despite a pledge to collaborate from policymakers on both sides of the Atlantic.
