High-speed rail lures top-tier station architects

The worldwide movement toward high-speed rail is attracting top-tier architects to design bold new railway stations. Among them is Beijing South. Designed by Terry Farrell and completed last year, the station is spacious enough to accommodate the 105 million passengers a year expected by 2030. Farrell is also designing high-speed railway stations in South Africa, India and Hong Kong.
