Nepali government meets atop Everest ahead of Copenhagen

Prime Minister Madhav Kumar of Nepal and 24 cabinet members held a meeting on Mount Everest to highlight the need to battle climate change. Officials adopted a declaration to increase protected land areas and develop community-level capacities to cope with the effects of global warming. Nepal is looking for help from wealthy countries to address increasing temperatures in the Himalayas.
