Sale of Hotel Bel-Air furnishings draws a crowd

As many as 1,000 people lined up outside of a Santa Monica, Calif., storefront on Thursday to get a chance at a bargain on furnishings from the iconic Hotel Bel-Air. The hotel, which closed Oct. 1 for a two-year, multimillion-dollar makeover, is selling its old furnishings, including beds, rugs, lamps and other items.
