Study: Facebook profiles are for real

Facebook profiles tend to closely match users' actual personalities, University of Texas researchers have found. The data collected from 236 profiles suggests that many people see social networks as a communications tool, instead of a promotional vehicle. "Young adults are using it as a way to communicate and leaving lots of clues about what they're really like," a researcher says.
