Stumpf addresses small-business lending

John Stumpf, chief executive officer at Wells Fargo, said that volume of small-business loan applications has plunged but that the bank continues to approve loans at the same rate as it did before the economic downturn. "We want to make more loans," Mr. Stumpf said. "If I could increase lending by $150 billion today, I would do it."
