Type 2 diabetes, obesity raise risk of colorectal cancer death

The risk of dying from colorectal cancer is 35% higher in obese patients compared with their normal-weight counterparts, a study found. Another study revealed that people with type 2 diabetes face a 29% increased risk of colorectal cancer-related mortality compared with those who do not have the disease. Results of the two studies were published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology.
