Facebook calls in an outside auditor for privacy-policy vote

Facebook is collecting user votes on a proposal to allow the site to make future privacy-policy changes without putting them to a vote, and has appointed an outside auditor to oversee the referendum. Still, it's unlikely the vote will make much difference, as under current rules, 300 million ballots will be required for the vote to be binding, Paul Sloan writes.
