Facebook puts future user voting on privacy to a vote

Facebook is conducting a vote on whether users should get to vote on privacy changes in the future. Facebook says if 30% of its 1 billion-plus members vote in favor of being polled, the social network will continue to grant them binding authority on such thorny issues as data sharing with future polls. If the vote comes up short of the 30% mark before voting closes Dec. 10, Facebook will consider the poll's result nonbinding.
