GSA issues RFIs for new FBI HQ in D.C.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation needs a new headquarters in Washington, D.C. A retrofit of the current J. Edgar Hoover FBI Building would cost between $850 million and $1.1 billion, but it would still not "meet the agency’s security needs." A new building would cost about $1.5 billion. The General Services Administration has issued a request for information from parties interested in possibly taking the existing building as part of a trade for a new building.
