Home sales involve fewer first-time buyers

First-time buyers represented about 35% of home sales in October, according to the latest monthly Campbell/Inside Mortgage Finance HousingPulse Tracking Survey. That's the lowest percentage since the survey began in September 2009. Reasons for the decline include rising prices, financing challenges and fewer opportunities to buy distressed properties.
