Johnson Controls is one of several businesses, research labs and universities participating in a new U.S. Department of Energy battery research hub at Argonne National Laboratory near Chicago. "The intent ... is to continue to create the technology pipeline so that we accelerate the industry and ensure the U.S. has a position as a global competitor," said MaryAnn Wright, vice president of global technology and innovation for Johnson Controls' power solutions unit.
