Lawmakers ask Five Guys to buy local potatoes

Sen. Olympia Snowe and two other members of Maine's congressional delegation wrote a letter to Five Guys Burgers & Fries asking the chain to serve fries made from Maine potatoes at their eateries in the state. "[A] growing number of consumers in Maine and around the country are keenly interested in supporting local farmers and appreciate having a connection to those growing their food," the letter said.
