N.J. train derailment leads to release of hazardous chemical

Vinyl chloride was released into the air after a New Jersey train derailment last week, resulting in an evacuation order for residents and school closures. Problems with the bridge, including rail alignment, had been reported previously, according to records that the National Transportation Safety Board is reviewing.
