Nyasasaurus parringtoni might be the earliest dinosaur on Earth

Researchers who examined fossils found in the 1930s in Tanzania believe that the Nyasasaurus parringtoni might be the earliest known dinosaur species. Based on their analysis, the species lived around 240 million to 245 million years ago during the Middle Triassic era, while Earth's continents were still linked to each other to form the Pangaea landmass.
