Startup develops early warning devices for foot ulcers

Canadian medical device maker Orpyx Medical Technologies is developing a pressure-sensitive device that alerts patients with diabetes that they might be developing a foot ulcer. The company is also working on a device to improve gait and balance in people with peripheral neuropathy and alert them when they are at risk for developing a foot ulcer.
