Study: Higher alcohol levels lower mortality risk in trauma patients

Trauma patients with high elevated blood alcohol levels had lower in-hospital mortality rates, according to a study from the University of Illinois published in the journal Alcohol. Data showed patients with penetrating or severe injuries had the biggest reduction of in-hospital case mortality rates by blood alcohol concentration.
