TI upgrades DaVinci processor to shoot video in low light

The new DM385 video processor from Texas Instruments is said to be capable of compressing a four-megapixel video stream with H.264 or SVC-T high-profile codecs, making it ideal for low-light conditions. The latest version of TI's DaVinci processors has on-chip 3D noise filtering and wide dynamic range processing, with applications in surveillance equipment.
