What role should teachers play in buying technology?

Several states are trying to give teachers more say in deciding which technologies to use in their classrooms. That involvement, however, is not an easy process because of tight budgets, district and state rules surrounding new products, and several other factors. "There's a difficult balance to strike," said Keith Pomeroy, technology director for Ohio's Olentangy school district, which serves 17,500 students.
