BuzzFeed may double revenue next year without banner ads

Sources tell Bloomberg that BuzzFeed projects $120 million in revenue for next year, double what its estimated take for this year. The news, list and quiz purveyor hit an all-time high with more than 130 million unique visitors in November. Big brands such as General Electric and Toyota are advertising on BuzzFeed, which eschews banner ads in favor of sponsored articles.
