CMS issues almost $17B in EHR incentives as of Oct.

The CMS has released nearly $17 billion in Medicare and Medicaid EHR incentive payments to eligible hospitals and providers as of October. Despite the increase in the number of providers attesting to meaningful use, Rob Tagalicod, director of the CMS Office of E-Health Standards and Services, still questions their readiness to satisfy the requirements for stages 2 and 3 of MU because some of them aren't happy with the performance of their current EHR solutions.
