Defense budget amendment would expand access to behavioral therapy

Sen. Patty Murray, D-Wash., has proposed an amendment to the Defense Department budget that would expand Tricare coverage of behavioral therapy for military families. Tricare does not cover behavioral therapy for family members who have not been diagnosed with specific conditions but for whom the therapy has been prescribed.
