Safeguards planned to protect South Korean stem cell innovations

South Korea's World Stem Cell Hub plans to take steps in January to safeguard the research the government is funding, including blocking any leaks of the core technology developed, according to a government official. Hwang Woo-suk has been in seclusion since an ethics scandal about his work erupted, but news reports said he might return to work as early as this week to check on research that continued in his absence.
