Marriage case argued before Md.'s high court

Nine same-sex couples on Monday petitioned Maryland's high court to expand marriage rights to include them. But attorneys for the state argued the constitution's Equal Rights Amendment does not apply to marriage and any changes should originate with the legislature, not the courts.
