U.S. will need 220 new plants to meet biofuel goals, exec says

The U.S. will need 220 large-scale cellulosic-biofuel plants and $100 billion in new investments to meet its biofuel targets, according to Phil New, the CEO of BP Biofuels. With the U.S., China and other nations ramping up biofuel production, renewable fuels could account for 20% of global transportation fuels by 2030, New said.
