85% of Oregon state employees pick wellness-based plan

Oregon's Public Employees' Benefit Board says about 85% of state employees have signed up for the Health Engagement Model insurance option, which contains wellness requirements, rather than pay up to $35 per month extra in premiums. State officials say the response compares favorably to the 95% participation in Alabama and a 90% rate in Tennessee when those states offered wellness plans.
