Brazilian official says Chevron should follow the country's laws

Chevron should follow Brazil's policies and coordinate its operations with the country's drilling regulator, said Edison Lobao, Brazil's minister of mines and energy. "From time to time there are gaps of information between them and the agency," Lobao said. Brazil is also studying whether to allow Chevron to compete for new drilling licenses after the Frade field oil spill.
